Q: Who are you and what do you do here?

A: Entek Micro LLC is a Chicago based consulting practice run by Steve Arwady. We build, design, fix and upgrade networks for organizations of all sizes. We also develop software related to networking such as network and server monitoring tools and our Webmail product.

Q: What languages do you develop in?

A: Mostly Perl 5, HTML and ASP, but we also do some JavaScript, VBscript and a little C++.

Q: Why should my company work with a consulting company?

A: When you work with Entek Micro LLC you are not just working with one person but a whole team dedicated to providing you with the best most cost effective solutions. We focus on providing personal service that you would expect from a permanent hire while giving you more flexibility and at a lower total cost. You don't have to worry about keeping a permanent employee busy, you do not have the expense of training, there are no health insurance or other benefits costs and when the project is done you don't have to keep spending money on an employee you don't need anymore. Q: Why should I use Entek Micro LLC to support my Chicago office?

A: We focus our practice in the Chicago land area. We are geared to provide on-site support throughout the region. Our team of experts are all located here to provide fast and excellent service on-site.

While there are plenty of remote support tools out there, some issues, like hardware problems and training, are best solved with an onsite visit. Users are more comfortable with on-site support. They have a real human in person to relate to. Also an onsite tech can work on the system while the user continues to work on other projects instead of wasting valuable time on the phone with the helpdesk.

Q: If a temp service is so similar why shouldn't I use one instead of Entek Micro LLC?

A: Entek Micro LLC does not replace the use of temp services but can offer a cost effective alternative. By directly working a contractor you avoid the "finders fees" that are normally associated with temp services. Most companies will also find that Entek Micro LLC is significantly less expensive that other larger consulting companies.
